What is SoTL?
In a nutshell, the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) is about applying the same standards used in academic research in the investigation of issues (problems) related to teaching and learning. From a perspective of SoTL, teaching is an activity undertaken over time, and teachers can investigate this activity in the same manner that they, as scholars, conduct research in their own disciplines.
