Foundations in Learning Technologies Certificate
What?
This is a special innovative program to introduce graduate students to emerging learning technologies that they will be able to use in their professional lives either in academe or elsewhere.
When?
This program is offered year round.
Who?
Participants must be currently enrolled UNLV graduate students while attending any part of the program, and must be enrolled in the TLC's Graduate Student Professional Development Program in College Teaching.
How?

- Sign up for specific workshops on our Workshop Schedule
What?
You must attend the following sessions:
- Course Management Systems Overview
- Pedagogically-sound Use of PowerPoint
- Web Page Development
- Avoiding Plagiarism
- Smart Internet Searching
- Bibliographic Software Overview
- Find It! Books and Journals on the Web.
- One additional workshop of your choice from the open-enrollment list of available workshops, the following are a few examples:
- SMARTboard
- PowerPoint Basics
- Free Software
You must also complete a reflective writing assignment on the Benefits and Challenges of Using Learning Technologies.
